Scout debuts latest addition to LXF Fleet at MIBS. Meet new 400 LXF

Summerville, South Carolina – 2/17/2022 – Scout Boats, Inc. has unveiled the much anticipated 400 LXF, the company’s newest luxury sportfishing addition to its LXF model line. The model debuted at the 2022 Miami International Boat Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Scout’s LXF Collection is comprised of luxury sportfish models that showcase a unique blending of high-performance fish boats with high-end cruisers. The cross between these two popular recreational marine mainstays allows one to enjoy amenities on this collection normally only found on much larger sportfishers. The 400 LXF is the eighth model in this category to date, joining the 255, 277, 305, 330, 355, 425 & 530 LXF models.

The 400 has a double-stepped hull and is crafted utilizing Scout’s epoxy-infusion with carbon fiber/e-glass construction, promoting a stronger, faster, more fuel-efficient model. LOA is 39’ 5” and the beam sits at a stable 12’ 1”.

“One of the things that clearly separates our models from our competition is fit-and-finish,” said Scout President Dave Wallace. “Our 400 carries this principle forward again with completely-finished doors, lids, hatches, bilges…we’re not just screwing a cheap seat cover to a lid and calling it a day. We’ve chosen premium upgraded upholsteries, taken the time to finish the boat inside and out, packed it with incredible innovations and put it all on a high-performance hull.”

Timeless styling, sleek aesthetics and technology are three main pillars of the 400. Scout has built a reputation for being first-to-market with innovations throughout its 33-year history, and the 400 carries the company philosophy forward with perks like the standard hydraulic port side beach platform with synthetic teak – ideal for boarding/de-boarding safely away from the transom and engines – (and optional upgrade to teak) and the standard two Garmin 8616 touch screens at the helm (available for upgrade to three 8616 screens). From the helm and the key fob, the owner can control features throughout the model with the help of C-Zone digital switching technology as well. There’s also a standard Seakeeper 3 gyro stabilizer (with optional upgrades to a Seakeeper 5 or 6), electronically-actuated SureShade integrated retractable aft awning, and Scout’s electronically-actuated articulating rocket launchers.

“We want the customer to feel that ‘wow factor when they look at our models when they touch something on the model when they captain the model, and everything in between,” said Wallace.

The 400 also showcases a unique raised aft-facing lounge seat/electronically-actuated convertible leaning post option that adds a Kenyon grill, sink and cutting board to a clear ice maker and tackle drawers, or substitute a drawer refrigerator instead.

Standard features throughout include a port and starboard acrylic transom access door; gas shock-assisted hatches; flush mount cleats and rod holders; port and starboard floor fish boxes with overboard diaphragm discharge; a patented powder-coated hardtop with curved glass enclosure; under hardtop/under gunnel LED dimming courtesy lighting; and two hardtop-retractable water hoses for fresh and raw, just to name a few.

Notable options include a bow table and filler cushion, upper helm flybridge, Release Marine Helm Chairs and Battle Saddle, real teak upgrade, compressed air toy inflator, hardtop-mounted spotlight, Taco 380XL cranking outriggers w/ 20’ carbon-fiber poles, and Lumishore underwater LED lighting.

Access for mechanical service is made easy with the help of a completely-finished and accessible midships mechanical room.

Down below, the appointments resemble the elegance of those on a private jet. You’ll find a single-burner glass stove cooktop, microwave, flush-mount 32” LED flat-screen TV, galley sink, drawer refrigerator, enclosed shower/head area with toilet, sink, and mirror w/ vanity cabinet. Stainless accents can be found throughout, while a convertible queen berth awaits those in need of rest after a full day of fishing or entertaining.
